About the Role:
Our client, a leading company in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Hardware Systems Integration Engineer with LabVIEW and MATLAB experience for an on-site, contract-to-hire opportunity in Syracuse, NY. This team is responsible for integrating third-party specialty hardware into complex systems, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate and validate third-party specialty hardware into aerospace systems.
- Develop and optimize LabVIEW and MATLAB scripts for testing and automation.
- Conduct system-level troubleshooting of hardware/software interfaces.
- Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth system integration.
- Support hardware and software testing methodologies.
Must-Have Skills:
✅ LabVIEW (development or strong hands-on experience)
✅ MATLAB (data analysis and scripting)
✅ Hardware Systems Integration experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Math.
- 3–15 years of experience in a technical environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware/software integration.
- Experience with hardware test methodologies.
- Familiarity with Jira, Subversion, Python, Java, C++, Linux, and TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to manage fast-paced workloads with minimal oversight.
