I've filed Bug 2371122 about the DataFinder items being installed unexpectedly. Did you have other NI software installed before running the Beta installer?

LabVIEW 8.2.1, 2016, 2019, 2023Q1. A bunch of drivers and some of the basic toolkits for 2016, 2019, and 2023Q1. I am certain I did not have the DataFinder Toolkit installed on any version.

I started over after resetting the VM windows 10 to factory default, erasing everything.
Still the same problem! (All these extra modules, etc.)
Also, at one point that activation dialog needs to be cleaned up. That [activate] button belongs at the bottom. It is super confusing having to scroll back up to activate after entering the serial number. Bad UI design!!!!
Any reasonable person (... and me too!) will look at the bottom and only see [cancel] or [extend trial buttons], making it unclear how to proceed!

I wonder if that's related to upgrading vs clean installing. I did a clean VM install on my end, deselected everything and the only thing it installed was LabVIEW itself.
The dialog box to enter the serial number only had one box to enter the serial number as well.
Did you log into your NI profile or did you do offline activation? That might make a difference!
I think most of us probably used the NI profile (?).
Also, since I successfully activated a few days ago using my NI profile, I would have expected the beta serial number to be associated. However, [check my account for licenses] did not find any after the clean reinstall. Should it have found that beta license?

OK, if we don't activate after installation (I must have forgotten to click that misplaced activate button! 😮 ), we get the single product dialog when we open LabVIEW for the first time.
I think my new SOP will be to cancel the activation dialog after installation and wait for this one!
So this is still not working right! If I use that above dialog to activate LabVIEW, it succeeds, but there will be a follow-up to [activate remaining]. If I cancel that, LabVIEW closes!!!
After that, I can re-open LabVIEW and things seem to work, even without activating remaining, so why did it close out???

Thanks for the feedback! I've passed this along to the group that owns the license activation dialog.

I've learned that the LabVIEW DataFinder Connectivity VIs are no longer available as a separate product and are now included with LabVIEW. I apologize for the confusion of them still being listed separately in the installer's Review page, but we're not planning to change that for this release.

Thank you for the feedback! I've filed Bug 2383315 for this issue. Can you please tell me what version of Windows you're using?
