I've raised this as an SR/CAR (#03296584) with NI already so this is just an FYI.
The way LabVIEW 2024 handles references is different to previous versions. When the Execute method finishes (/goes out of memory?) the "Affected Items" references become invalid.

Perhaps this is the way it should have been working all along and NI fixed a bug.
