Greetings,
I have created a web service on my target (a cRIO-9022) that requires an NI Auth permission. What do I need to do in my Web UI clients to allow them to accees that web service? I presume that I need to somehow push the user name and password as part of accessing the web service, but I see no way to do that.
Thanks in advance,
Allen C. Smith

Hi Allen,
This feature is currently not supported with Web services built in LabVIEW 2010. We expect this issue to be addressed by the LV 2010 SP1 release.
Cheers,
Mark

Mark,
When can I expect SP1 to ship? That should be sometime in early February, right?

While I can't speak to an exact release date, historically the yearly LabVIEW maintenance release is delivered in Q1. This year should be no different.

Hi Allen,
Web UI Builder does not currently support NI Authenticated web services.
While some changes included in LV 2010 SP1 are needed for Web UI Builder, installing LV 2010 SP1will not automatically allow the web services to be called from Web UI Builder.
This feature is currently on our roadmap, has a very high priority and will be included in a near future release of Web UI Builder.
Thanks,
Ram Kudukoli.

Hi Ram,
How near is near? I know you can't give a release date prior to the formal announcement, but my customer would like to deploy our application as soon as possible, security is a high priority, and we need to make some decisions based on when the technology will be available. So I need whatever info you can give me. We can probably hold out through Q1, but if it's going to stretch much past that, we may need to implement an interim solution.
Thanks,
Allen
