I am trying to learn Labview using the LEGO mindstorms NXT robot. I installed Labview 2009 and started working, but when I open the NXT terminal in the NXT module it claims that the NXT is not connected although it is (via USB). Any ideas ? Could this have to do with the fact that I am using Windows Vista ?
thanks

Hello,
Please take a look at this older forum post related to the same issue with the same O/S and let me know if this helps.

Thanks for the help, this seems to be a similar problem, but I troed the solution suggested their (running labview as administrator) and this did not solve the problem. I still get the "not connected" status.
Anyone?

You are welcome. Are you able to see the NXT in Device Manager under 'LEGO devices. If not, try connecting it to a different USB port on your PC and be sure to follow the steps beginning on pg. 4 of the 'Getting Started Manual'.

Still no success. I can see the lego-device in the decie manager, I followed all instruction and my computer seems to qualify but I still get the not- connected status. I was able to connect in a different computer (that uses windows XP). I have a feeling that this has to do with vista although the specifications say that it should work with vista.

Hello,
Have you re-booted your computer since the installation? If you have and still get the 'not connected' status, try uninstalling and the LV NXT Module.
Regards.

This looks like a duplicate post. I think you will have a better chance of getting an answer here:

good observation, forum found some cases in which the same answer more than one question answered, is why it is placed in both links, thanks again
