NXT and Windows 7

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and re-installed NXT 2.0. Now I am unable to save any programs. I saw this problem in 2 different computers. Has anyone else seen this issue

Thanks

Raj

Hi Raj,

Is this Windows 7 64-bit or 32-bit? The NXT module is not supported on 64-bit.

Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to save a VI? Is there an error, a "Cannot Save VI" message, or does it proceed but not actually save the VI? Do other LabVIEW programs save if you don't use NXT components?

Hi LaRisa,

I am using the 32 bit version. I get an error message box that just says "Save Failed". Here is a screen shot.

Thanks

Raj

Hi Raj,

Are you using LV 2009? If so, try installing the NXT module instead of the toolkit. Here is the link: http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-7206

Here in AE, a couple of people on the Distributed Controls team have the 2009 NXT Module installed on Windows 7 and there haven't been any problems like this.

Your screenshot didn't get posted, by the way. If the module doesn't work out for you, please repost the screenshot. Thanks!

Hi davidfs,

Did you try and download the NXT module that LarRisa_S posted?
