1553 communication, tough going

Anyone out there getting results with LabView and a 1553 card? I am using a Systran card which has LV5 examples (talking to a .dll) and have not succeeded in getting out into the real world (out onto the bus). Any recollections or observations would be welcome.

Hello Barry,

Can you please provide some additional details about your system?  What other hardware are you using?  What is it that you are trying to accomplish?  Although I am not personally familiar with 1553, I was able to find plenty of other discussion forums by searching MIL-STD-1553.  Hopefully, those can help you get started.

Good luck!

Hello Anand,

Personally, I am not familiar with the 1553, but you may want to get started by looking at the following post:

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=30574&view=by_date_ascending&page=1

It talks about multiple third-party companies that create LabVIEW drivers for the 1553.  This should help you get started.

Good luck!
