16 bit to 12 bit image

I have Labview 8.51 full developmental version and it does NOT have IMAQ arraytoimage.vi!

Anyway I have a camera that captures 12 bit images but the card that supports the camera only outputs 16 bit. So I am getting 16 bit tiff files and I am trying to save it as 12 bit image. Is there any other way of doing this w/o using imaq arraytoimage.vi?

And are you sure that you've IMAQ installed. I've the same version of labview and the place it's showed on the attached pic. Comment it!

Bad news: The NI-IMAQ VI ArrayToImage.vi is available only with the NI Vision Development Module (see the Vision Development Module help for a complete list of included VI’s).

Good news: There is a way to convert 2D arrays to grayscale pictures without IMAQ VI’s.
