200284 for USB 6211

Hy everyone,

I have a USB6211, LV 8.2 and DAQmx 8.6 (fresh download).  No matter what I try for analog input voltage, I always get the 200284 error.

I read several posts, manuals, instructions on ni.com,  I tried 3 examples from the ni/example finder,  I putted an unlimited time-out value (-1),  sample rate of 10000 Hz for 1 or 2 or 10 samples, tried different AI channels ... anything I could think of or find on the net, but still the error remains.

The funny thing is, that when I open the device in MAX and select the test pannel, I get a nice signal.  The same goes for a channel that I create, but when I create a task, I always get this error (even with internal clock and all the other things i mentioned, using the channel as the input for the task, ... ).  I can however produce an analog signal (also voltage) without any problem, but just can't read any data from an AI.

I'm just wondering if it is a software problem and maybe I should reinstall DAQmx or LV ??

Anyone any clue ?  I'd appreciate it !

Hi Jan,

i´m not sure if the DAQmx version is the problem, but you should try the newest version 8.7.1. Maybe you can show your code and i try it on my pc.

OK Mike,  I got the 8.7.1 but still the same problems.

I didn't yet write any code of my own.  I just ran down a few examples in the ni example finder.  So "my code" is about the first 4 you find in there under DAQmx.

I added here a few screenshots of my setting in MAX (which also gives me the error).  Like I said, I can test any channel just fine in MAX but not one task.  Even with the channel as input, so I guess it 's somehow a trigger problem.

Hi Jan,

the first 4 examples need the "Sound and Vibration Toolkit" which i have not installed. Sorry, can´t check it.

Hi Jan,

Nice to hear from you again. I tried contacting you by phone but i could not get any connection. I think this problem would be resolved faster if we could talk about it on the phone. Can you give me a ring, or send your phone number to joris.donders@ni.com.
Kind Regards,
