2013 install errors

Installing 2013 for the first time. I received two errors during the process. One for switch executive and the other for visa. I am an administrator on this machine. After installing from the dvd's, the NI update service came up and said that the 2013 64bit version was available. It stated that the vision builder would need to be reinstalled after loading the 64bit version. Why not have it do this itself?

This looks like a WIndows Installer issue to me. I found that this error can occur with a wide range of application installations and seems to be related to the Microsoft MSI service. These articles look like they may be useful:

I hope this helps! You may have more luck getting in touch with Microsoft about this error. Is the machine in question on a domain?
