3d graph blank - active x

I began to experiment with the 3D Graphs a while back, and although the LabVIEW example VIs initially had blank graphs I managed to sort this out and had a simple VI of my own working nicely.  I followed the advice here (last post) http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=32060&query.id=437763#M32060, and think I did something with the tools menu: advanced, import active x controls.  I came back to this recently and the graphs are blank again - and this time I can't fix it.  I'm afraid it might be something to do with licensing / a trial period having expired, although I'm quite certain when I first had the charts working there weren't any messages about a trial period.  Maybe I've just forgotten how I really fixed it last time.  Any ideas?  I don't have a clue what I am/am not licensed for.  I'm using version 6i.

Hi!

I hope you are doing well today! What other NI products do you have on that computer? The easiest way to fix this error is to either reinstall or run the repair utility of the NI product that installs the most recent version of the NI ActiveX container. Have you tried reinstalling LabVIEW? To do this go to Start » Settings » Control Panel » Add/Remove Programs.

Hi.  Thanks for the reply.  I tried repairing LabVIEW in the Control Panel and got this error: "Error applying transforms.  Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" (and activex still not working).

I also found this useful discussion

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=31072&query.id=31688#M31072

and tried a few things it suggested (e.g. registering the .ocx file etc - got an error there too: "a DLL initialization routine failed").  Any more ideas other than re-installation?

Hi!

Visit this knowledge base article: Error Applying Transforms when Uninstalling LabVIEW.

Something must have gone wrong in your regsitry and that's why I think reinstallation would be the best option. Also, what is the motivation of using LabVIEW 6?
