3d picture anti-alias

I have been remiss in not mentioning that "almost all graphics related issues in LV are related to the hardware driver or the hardware accelerator settings" (quoting myself from many threads).

So...

1) Post a 2009 version and I'll look at tit on my machine.

2) Have you atempted get video driver updates or backed-down on the graphics acceleation setting?

Same results on Labview 2010 and 9, checked on ATI (my laptop, 2010) and an NVIDIA 5200 (desktop, 9).  Latest drivers on both.  Using a standard 3D control, not launching a 'scene' - same results if I do that too...

I'll start poking driver settings if you can get it to work!

Hi Jester, any chance you could upload your VI so I could get a better idea of what you are trying to do?

Cheers, Tom

Sure - attached (LV 2010).  It's very simple.

Curious... did you ever manage to figure this out?
I seem to be plagued with the same problem.

You're asking in a 12 year old thread hoping to get a response from someone who hasn't posted in 11 years.  You might want to start a new thread on this topic instead.

Just keep in mind that there's a good chance there is no solution here.  LabVIEW supports 3d only at a basic level.

It could also be that it's not a LabVIEW problem.

Turning AA on will only have effect if your graphics card supports it, and if it's turned on:

Not that this made AA working for me, but maybe a restart of LV, maybe even Windows is needed.

(sorry for the delayed reply)

That was it. Wiebe@CARYA nailed it.

It took a bit of poking around, but I eventually discovered the right screens and configs to force LabVIEW to do anti-aliasing through my NVidea card.

Thanks.

Nice!

Ironically, it doesn't work for me. Glad I don't need it.
