3d printer

For study, we need to make a 3D-Printer and run it with labview, but if I load a STL file. I don't see a picture of it. I have search for turtorials but it seems there are not much tutorials how to work with 3 pictures in labview.

A second problem is we need to make sections of the object and use it to print (printing is by giving a image in each layer and step by step).

I use a professional Labview for students with modules application builder, control design an Simulation Module and last MathScript RT Module

Thx, I have fix it,proberly it was still not ASCII and i ask few times to replace it. But now i still have probs to create 2d image of each layer. We want a xy-image of it with a variable z which can be controlled for creating a image.

I'm running into the problem..how to control the z axis of a .stl file in order to layer it out..Is that another way of simulating a 3d printer?
