64 bits USB driver for an AOTF

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I'm developping a microscopy application where I drive different devices (ANDOR camera, Thorlabs CMOS camera, Thorlabs shutter, Physik Instrumente piezo actuator and an AOTF (AA Optoelectronic, MDS controler)).

This AOTF is provided with a 32 bits driver. The brand doesn't provide the 64 bits driver. I can drive it on a 32 bits PC with a USB connection but on Windows 7 64bits, the device is not recognized and I can't reproduce what I've done before...

Can you help me to fix this problem?

Thanks

Hey,

Have you tried to run LV using a 32 bit operating system? You can use Windows 7 to emulate a copy on XP using the link I have placed at the bottom of this post. Also just a footnote; LV versions 7 - 8 might work with Windows 7 but the software is not supported and you are very likely to run into errors. Ensure if you are using Windows 7 to use LV 9 +

Hi!

I've tried a Windows Vista version of the dll and it works under Labview 2009 and  Windows 7 64 bits.

Thanks, this is solved!

I'm also trying to control my AOTF (AA Optoelectronic, MDSnC) by LabVIEW through PC-RS232 connection, somehow it doesn't work. Can you share me how you control AOTF and what interface you use?
