7.1 wont start up

I have just installed 7.1 on a system which had 6.1 running fine (Windows 2000). Labview simply wont start up. Sometimes the task appears on the task list but only for about a second and then goes away.

Any hints ?

Michael.

Try using MSIBlast. We use MSIBlast to remove NI software off PCs when the MS installer/Removers fail to clean up after themselves. You can also do a Deep Clean on the PC, after having run MSIBlast restart the machine, then run Regedit (MS Tool). This will allow you alter and remove Registry entries, search for "National Instruments" and delete these. Only attempt this if you feel very confident to work within the MS Registry, it is worth while making a back up of the Registry before making any changes.

Enclose MSIBlast

Thanks for that. I did try cleaning out the registry but with no success. In the end I reinstalled Windows from scratch and its working fine now (good job I was able to do it with that PC).
