I was wondering if anyone else had noticed a subtle change in wiring with 8.6. In previous versions, if you started wiring and changed your mind, you could double-click the beginning point and the tool would let go of the wire. (Assuming you hadn't already tacked the wire anywhere.) In 8.6, this doesn't work. The Escape key functions similarly in all versions, but we all know how annoying it is to have to move from the mouse to the keyboard unnecessarily. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there any way this could be considered an improvement? (E.g. did some developer do this on purpose?) Or might this be considered a bug?
Cheers,

Hi Dave,
I definitely agree with you that letting go of the wire was easier in previous versions. I checked the LabVIEW 8.6 Upgrade Notes, and since this isn't highlighted as an improvement, I'm pretty sure it must be an oversight. I'll find out from the developers if they've noticed this yet, did it on purpose, or plan on fixing it. Thanks for the tip-off. I will post again when I have some info for you.

You can also just right-click. That cancels the currently selected wire.
