9205

In Labview, I am trying to set up an Ni 9205 analog card(Compact DAQ) with a voltage transducer with 0-10 vdc out with a 0- 300vac input range. when I go to scale the transducer and then hit run one of two things will happen. (1) the run engine locks up in labview or (2) I always get the same reading no matter what changes I make to the scaling. When I read my raw voltage through Measurement and Automation my voltages are correct. However I can not scale it to be meaningful information in labview. Can someone tell me what is going on, my trouble is only with the 9205 module, all other cards work fine.

Hi Mark,

How are you configuring your scales in LabVIEW?  You can use property nodes to set the scale itself, or you can use a property node called "DAQmx scale" to select a custom scale that you have saved.  You mentioned that when you try your device in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) you see the correct voltages.  You can save the configuration you are using in MAX and import it into LabVIEW.  Here's a link that shows how to use the "DAQmx scale" property node to set a scale that you have saved.
