ADVAPI32.DLL

Hi,

• I'm upgrading a Lab View Program (That worked in Lab VIEW 6.1) from 6.1 to 8.5 (RT).
• The unit consists A GUI PC and a Remote PC.
• When I'm Deploying my program to the PXI 8176 (CPU) unit I'm getting the following Message on the PXI Monitor: Error loading 'WS2Help '.dll: Missing export 'AllocateAndInitializeSid' from ADVAPI32.DLL'.
• After that the Deploy procedure fails down twice.
• On the thired time that I'm Deploy the Program the Deploy procedure works correctly till the end.  

Any idea?

Its the same unit I've presumed that it's different problems if one of them is causing the other I'll be very happy to know.

Hi Shimon,

There is a tool included in the document here that can check if a .dll will be able to run on a LabVIEW Real-Time 8.5 system. Try checking the .dll that you are having problems with to see if it is compatable. If this does not yield any results, would it be possible to post your code that you are trying to deploy so that I can try to reproduce the problem?

• Thanks for your reply message, attached more info regarding the above problem
• I've Operated the DLL Checker 8.5.exe program and got the following Massage: attached to the Reply message.
• I've also attached the Program that I've used and a picture of the PXI monitor (with the message).
• beside it I don't know if it's worth to know the The HOST DAQmx is 8.7.1f2 and the Remote DAQmx is 8.7.1.
• I Don't use the NICAN and the NI-DNET in that program.

Hi Shimon,

did your LABView6.1 program also run on a realtime system? The ADVAPI32.dll is a windows system dll and i think the functions of it won´t be supported on a real time target.

Hi Mike,

• The Hw system is the same as it was before (Host and remote system, while all of the boards are connected through a PXI caches).
• The 6.1 RT program worked correctly on the same HW.
• Now after the upgrade to 8.5 I saw the above problem, mentioned above.

I am also getting this exact same error on my RT system.  I started my system with LabVIEW version 8.5.1 and I am also using the PCI-8176 controller.  I have been wrestling with this for a couple of weeks.  I am very insterested to learn the solution.
