AI Multiport gives invalid page fault

Hi;
I'm trying to bring up my Lab-PC+ board under the Student Edition of Labview (version 3.1). I'm using the NI-DAQ 5.1 release that came with the hardware.

NI-DAQ configures just fine, and the board passes the NI-DAQ test and test panel. Under the Edition of Labview, the AI single-port example appears to run OK, but the multi-port example gives me
invalid page fault in module NIDAQ32.dll
at 0167:21151052

I'm about to upgrade to NI-DAQ 6.9.3 as suggested by NI's web site (I'm now running Windows 98). But the Student Edition book says to use the drivers "especially designated for the LabVIEW Student Edition" driver setup disk "provided in the instructor's package." But I'm the instructor. Any ideas where to get
the special drivers? Or what I might do instead?

cheers,
Dr. James D. (Don) ROberts

Hi,

My first suggestion would be to upgrade to LV 7.0 Student Edition.

You can find out more at the following link.
http://www.ni.com/labviewse/

My second suggestion would be to try a different driver. Even though NI-DAQ 6.9.3 supports the Lab-PC+, we should try an older driver. Try NI-DAQ 4.9.0 and see if this version will fix the problem. You can download the driver with the following link:
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/53E458D6B11E0E228625654D005DC88B?opendocument&node=132070_US

Let us know if this fixes the page fault.

Best regards,

Note: Remember to remove all hardware and uninstall current versions of NI-DAQ before installing a different version.
