AI sampling problem with remote devices

I have a PCI-MIO-16XE-10 device attached to a computer on a local network running RDA server. I have added the device through NI-Daq and can see the channels through the test panel. To test the setup I am trying to acquire data using the AI acquire waveform.vi which is one the simple VIs in labview. However when the number of points to acquire (e.g. 1001) exceeds the sampling rate (e.g. 1000) the VI hangs. Any comments?

Dear Sam,

Using Remote DAQ, when I ran Acquire N Scans.vi from the Example Finder with number of scans to acquire set to 1001 and scan rate set to 1000, everything worked fine. Can you get this example to run properly? To find this example go to the Help menu in LabVIEW>>Find Examples. Browse Hardware Input and Output>>Traditional DAQ (or DAQ depending on version of NI-DAQ)>>Analog Input>>General. Let me know if you can't get it to work. Have a great day!
