About MIO Calibrate.vi

I'm learning how to use MIO Calibrate.vi and I don't get to understand the difference between the items 'reference location' and 'EEPROM location', which are inputs to the function. Could anyone help me?

The value of EEPROM location and reference location determine where the new calibration constants are saved. When the ADC or the DACs are calibrated, the calibration constants for the operation are saved in the EEPROM location. When the internal reference voltage is calibrated, the calibration constants are saved in the reference location.

You can find out a lot more information about the MIO Calibrate VI in the second half of the document, "Detailed Calibration Procedures for Multifunction DAQ Boards" linked below.
