Access Violation (0xC0000005) at EIP=0x3032E7D5

Hi,

I have a crash report that is given at the start of an exe labview program.  Report gives:

Exception: Access violation (0xC0000005) at EIP=0x3032E7D5

Version: 0.0.1.0

Any thoughts on this?

The program is running on the same computer as it was previously, has not been run in at minimum 1 year.

Labview 2011 was what I used to generate the code and exe.

Computer is running Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1

I did download the latest drivers for the daq (NI cDAQ-9174, using 2 modules: NI 9203)

Using the M&A Explorer the data is being read, just seems to be an error loading the exe.

Any help would be great.

I think that's a hardware error from the PC.  Run memory diagnostics, and possibly a disk diagnostic (something that can ask the disk if it thinks it is OK).

Howdy,

It looks like NIER caught the crash but I dont think you reported the crash. I couldn't find any information on your mini dump number listed in the lvlog at least Cat Sad. In the future you should definitely submit those so that we can keep track of what issues are causing crashes.

Unfortunately, without a full dump (.dmp) its difficult to figure out what might be going wrong. You can also attach your dump to this forum and we can check it!

You can find the dump on the machine at C:\Users\<username for the machine>\Documents\LabVIEW Data\LVInternalReports\LabVIEWin the corresponding LV version folder.

Hi,

Thank you for the information.  Unfortunately I did not get this information (.dmp), but will get this and then respond later with the file attached.

Thank you!

Brian

No worries, Brian. Just let me know when you've managed to recreate the crash again and we can continue to look at it! Cat Very Happy

Hi Tim,

I started the exe today (wanting a fresh report as the last date of trial had many files and I did not know which send), and it worked on the first try.  But when closed andr estarted I received the error again.  Attached is the folder from today's report.  Hopefully this will include the information you need and hopefully we can resolve the issue.

Thank you,

Brian

I was able to look at the dump, and it looks like the crash points to an issue with drawing a tab control. But there isn't anything conclusive in it that would direct me to a resolution for the problem.

Do you have any newer versions of LabVIEW to test?

I think I do. I have not done any new projects lately, but should have a new release/update.  However, it seems that I cannot locate the original project file.  I had an issue with my computer a while back and IT did not copy all files 😞

Let me dig around some more.  Would you suggest I build a new exe file under a newer version of LabVIEW?

Thank you,

Brian
