Did you mean:

Access device manager through labview

This is exactly what I need to do also.

However, I get an error #2 only, no list of USB connections.

Suggestions??

Can you post your vi? I guess the calling convention maybe wrong.

I'm using LabVIEW 2010 and Win7, and I have just tried Devcon.  It seems to work, but a seperate cmd line window pops up and disappears before I can read it.  Also, the "standard output" does not return the text that was shown in the seperate window.  How do I over come this?

Same issue here (LabVIEW 2012 SP1 Win7).

When using it manually via cmd I could fix the issue by running cmd as administrator - response appears in the same prompt.

Can I run system exec vi as admin somehow? Maybe then standard output would return something (btw. yes I set it to wait until finished). Running LabVIEW as admin wasn't enough.

Any suggestions?

Indeed!!
I'm using LabVIEW in the Windows 7 32 bit, and run program by setting run as administration.

It works, the standard output can show the message I'd like to collect.

Thanks a lot!!!
