I get only 75% of the duration I ask in The Acquire Sound VI in Labview 2010.
I request 10 seconds of signal, I get 7.5 seconds. I request 20 seconds of signal, I get 15 seconds.
Any workaround?

How do you run your program. Do you use the continuous run button? And how do you want your application to behave? Using Express VIs will in most cases only give you more problems than they solve.

Thanks for the advice.
I will try less 'packaged' ways.

Go to the help in the toolbar. Then select Find Examples. Do a search for sound. You will find many good sound examples. Non of them are Express VIs :). That should give you a push in the correct direction

Hello,
I have been able to replicate this error locally. I have filed a Corrective Action Request on the Express VI #249849 to the R&D team. This number may be used to track investigation progress in future patch/version release notes.
Thank you for reporting this issue. I was able to use the Sound VI primitives without error for this acquisition process.
Cheers!

Ha ha, do not be deluded into that NI care about the sound system. The fact is that people are very upset by the way NI treat the user of the sound system. Bottom line they do not care at all. Take a look here http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/PLEASE-can-a-AE-from-NI-take-a-look-at-my-problem-Sound-input/m-p/12... Not very Impressive I would say. But we should not blame Patrick for this. He has done the job he is supposed to do. The problem is higher up in the system.
By the way as I said before. If you give some more details about what you want to do. Your problem may be solved by NOT using the Express VIs. I am quite sure your problem is related to a flaw that may appear then reading the first block after configuring the sound system.
