Active X control not visible

I have Windows 7 Operating system and Labview 8.5 , I want to load the Microsoft Communication Control Active X module through Active X container, but when I browse for that I dont see any Active X control by that name,

But In windows XP operating system I can load that Active X. The Active X which I use is MSCOMM32.ocx

Are you running 64-bit Windows? I recall reading something about needing to have it in the syswow64 directory, not system32. Check Google for "mscomm32.ocx windows 7 syswow64 64-bit".

I have a similar problem but in my case it is an ActiveX EXE (developed in vb6). I am using LV2011 in windows7-32.

Do you have any ideas why it is not visible?
