Add Elements to a Cluster

Hi Folks,

My first post here. I have a simple question, but my search for an answer in a previous post was not fruitful. See attached VI.

As is the VI works. But how can I add an indicator to the cluster. If I add one, I get a broken wire, no matter the setting of the loop count.

Thanks,

Hi!

I can't look into your VI right now. But as far as I know, you'll first have to create an (empty) cluster on the front panel, then add the desired components: Pick them from the toolbox and drop them into the cluster (the cluster is displayed with a frame on the inside, if it is recognized as destination for the new component). Also make sure, that you use the components in the right order, especially when using the 'bundle' box. You can change the order by right-clicking on the cluster on the front panel and selecting 'change order of elements' (I don't remember the exact name). It might help to use 'bundle by name' instead of just 'bundle'.

Thanks, but never mind.

I just read where you have to right click on the array-to-cluster node and select cluster size to change the cluster size. Apparently it gets set the first time you use it, then needs to be manually updated after that.

Hi!

Well, you're right. But anyway, I came across the situation where I wanted to change the field order (because of broken wires and messy layout). Is your problem solved?

Good luck,
Felix
