Did you mean:

After install LabVIEW 8.6, some of my programs can't be loaded.

The error is:

LabVIEW 8.6 development system has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.

......

Anyone has experienced the similar problems?  Is that because of the bugs of 8.6?

Thanks.

Could you provide a bit more details on what your programs do. Anything unique and exotic? Any toolkits and add-ons?

Did you reboot after installations when asked?

Looking at the LabVIEW 8.6 Known Issues document, I cannot see anything obvious.

It is an acquisition program to acquire an image from a camera through the acquisition board.  It uses ni-vision.

The backup program from long ago can be opened by 8.5 and 8.6, but after I saved, the backup program can't be opened by 8.6.

Which version of NI-Vision? Have you updated NI-Vision to be compatible with 8.6?

I'm assuming you still have the backup in 8.5 and you didn't overwrite it when you said you saved it in 8.6.

Thanks.  The vision is 8.6 too.  When "save all" the backup becomes 8.6 too.  We gonna contact NI see what they say.

Weiyuan,

Can you post your code? Also, have you called and spoke to an Applications Engineer yet? What kind of Vision functions are you using?

Thanks a lot.  My classmate called the applications engineers, they can't open the vi, but they said they gonna investigate it.  It uses, IMAQ create, set image size, readfile, histogram, roitomask, etc.  The problem is when double click the vi, the error will come out, can't even see the block diagram or front panel, how to investigate from that?
