Did you mean:

After installation, NIDAQ6.9.3 requests that CD be installed during bootup.

I am using Labview 6.1 on a XP laptop.  I installed NIDAQ 6.9.3 from a CD.  Now everytime I start the laptop, I get a message stating to insert the CD containing NIDAQ 6.9.3.

Can you tell us the exact text of the message that you get? Do you get the message when you start up the laptop, or when you start LabVIEW?  Also, when you installed NI-DAQ, do you recall whether you selected the options to install all the features locally?

One option that you can try is to download and install a newer version of NI-DAQ from our website.  The newest version of NI-DAQ is 7.4.4, and is available here: NI-DAQ 7.4.4 download page.

Mark,

Thank you for your response.  I don't have the message info in front of me at the moment, but the message appears when the laptop is turned on, not when LabVIEW is started.  I don't think I checked the install locally box during installation.  To bypass the request message, I click the cancel button and everything seems to work fine, so NIDAQ 6.9.3 must have been installed on the laptop.  Also, I am using a DAQ-700 pcmcia card, which is why I am using NIDAAQ 6.9.3 instead of the latest version of NIDAQ.

Perhaps off topic, but I am using some old daq 516 card and nidaq 6.9.3 on labview 8.x. Works fine. You do not have to use Labview 6.1 even if you are running the old nidaq 6.9.3

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

In that case, to prevent the popup, you can just download and run the installer for NI-DAQ 6.9.3.  It's available for free download at the Traditional NI-DAQ v6.9.3 download page.  That should prevent the popup in the future because it will install the driver locally.
