Agilent 4284A C-T Measurement

Hello, I am new to LabView and would like to develop a program to take C-T (capacitance vs. time) measurements using the Agilent 4284A LCR Meter.  I currently have a LabView program that can take C-V measurements.  I am hoping for any suggestions/ideas on how the Instrument Driver for the 4284A LCR meter can be used to create a new program or modify the exisiting one to take the C-T measurements.  I have contacted Agilent and they informed me that the 4284A LCR meter does not natively support transient measurements, but they can be done by setting up a time base to trigger the measurement.

Hi Chirag,

It sounds like you found the instrument driver available for the Agilent 4284A.  In order to use it, you will need to know the command that the instrument needs to set your time base.  All of the VIs in the instrument driver can be modified for use within your own code.  I've included a few helpful tutorials for the process.

Unfortunately this was part of a course project a few years ago and I nolonger have the data.  I believe I did find some helpful information from other support threads in the forum though.

I hava a problem in coding a program to control agilent 4284A to measure C vs T. The measure period of my program is about 20ms-70ms. I wonder whether i can reduce the period to 1ms
