Agilent 5890 GC peak integration

I have bought a NI 4474 A-D card and intend on using it to take the analog output from an agilent 5890 GC, convert to digital, then wish to somehow integrate the recorded GC peaks in Labview v7, as you would normally on a strip chart recorder. Does anyone have any VI for doing something like this or know how I could do it? I am assuming it is possible as pretty much anything seems faesible with labView, but any pointers would be greatly appreciated as I have very limited experience with programming. Cheers!

Hi Khume,

To acquire analog data with the NI-4474, you can use the example programs which come with the driver you are using. The Example Finder can be accessed through the Help menu in LabVIEW. If you are using DAQmx (any version up to NI-DAQmx 8.1 since you are using LabVIEW 7.0), the examples can be found browsing by task under Hardware Input and Output » DAQmx. Normally you would need some other form of instrument control to communicate with the Agilent 5890 GC.
