P.S. The NI-VISA installer is loading only certain items even though I am selecting all of them. And it will not install NI Spy since there is a newer version already installed. Thus I don't know how I will get visa32.dll back.

It seems you're not alone in this problem: https://forums.ni.com/t5/Instrument-Control-GPIB-Serial/NI-VISA-is-installed-but-visa32-dll-could-no...
Try this???: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/CC76C6A93C0F3623862574E50047E269

The issue is that visa32.dll is no longer on the computer after uninstalling the Tektronics software. NI-VISA installer is not re-installing the file.

Wow, frustrating, isn't it? ![]()
Maybe dropping a visa32.dll into your system32 folder directly will allow the installers to do their job correctly (I attached mine [v4.4] just in case. Rename to visa32.dll).

Thanks for that. It makes NI Spy happy but LabVIEW still has VISA issues. Trying to install from NI-VISA is not working nor can I find where to uninstall NI-VISA. It does not show up in the usually programs listing.

Did you try this yet?: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/CC76C6A93C0F3623862574E50047E269
If that didn't/doesn't work then I'm out of ideas. I know it's a pain in the a$$ but you may have to resign yourself to uninstalling/re-installing all NI software.

Looks like a LabVIEW re-install!! 😞 Following all the advice has made it to where I have no VISA whatsoever. At least before I had the serial port, now nada. No matter what I have tried, NI-VISA does not install visa32.dll
Even with your version of visa32.dll (the one NI Spy likes) I am getting this error: (see attachment)

Reinstalling LabVIEW will do nothing. All that will do is run the same NI-VISA installer that you've been using.
Did you do an uninstall of the Tek VISA? That is probably where your problem started and that certainly needs to be removed before you try anything with NI-VISA. In fact, I would make sure that there is no trace of any type of VISA left on the pc before trying to install NI-VISA again.

If you end up attempting a full reinstallation I would recommend downloading the latest NI-VISA version and install that this time. Your file could be corrupt.

I agree, I'm just afraid there might be registry entries that need to be cleaned out and I usually hesitate to suggest that to someone unless they know what they're doing in there.
Reinstalling LV has worked for me in resolving similar problems in the past but there's no guarantee of course. Definitely try to find and purge all Tek VISA as Dennis suggested first.
