Hi
Ok, I want to know what driver. You can find that by going into Measrement and Automation Explorer (MAX), Expand the software tab and you should be able to see all the NI software, in there on would be NI-488.2 which is the driver you need in order to talk to your instrument using USB-GPIB. Now when you click on it you will see the driver version on the right window. Let me know what driver you have.
Thanks

Nihail,

This conversation about driver versions isn't really relevant is it? A command is sent to the instrument and the instrument is responding with a message 'All CAL data not suitable'. The communication to the instrument is working perfrectly fine and there is not any problem with the GPIB board or the version of the driver or the LabVIEW code itself. It's an application issue with the instrument.

tyl,

The explanation of the message is 'Appears when all of the calibration data is invalid because measurement conditions have changed'. Also note that the message status is a comment - not an error. That is also clearly stated in the manual. My guess is that you would also get this message if you changed the measurement setup manually. Because of the command you issued which changed the way a measurement is being done, you may have to do a re-cal. Have you tried doing that? The best place to look for application information is Agilent's web site. You could also try to contact an Agilent applications engineer. So far, no one on the forum with any actual experience with the instrument has replied. Hopefully, that will change.
