We have a situation where some installers built with LabVIEW 2012 for Windows (12.0.1 f5 included) seem to corrupt the installation of all other LabVIEW applications on the computer (across multiple LV versions).
The effect is that the LabVIEW applications will quit immediately after getting launched, with no windows showing up. The application icon will just show up briefly in the taskbar, then disappear.
The only solution we have found so far is to uninstall *all* LabVIEW applications, and reinstall. An extremely tedious task, as many of our users have 10-20 different applications.
Have I overlooked reports and a solution for this here on ni.com, or is this something noone else has seen/reported yet?

There is no error message when this happens by the way, the applications just start...and quit.

This may something totally different, but it is a similar symptom anyway.
I run on Ubuntu, and switching between different LV versions (dev environment) sometimes give the same behaviour. LV shows up on the taskbar and after a while silently disappears. Sometimes it helps to kill the 'nisvcloc' process, but most times I must restart my computer. Don't need to reinstall though, I have 8.6 through 2013 installed.
Sorry to say, I've learned to live with it since it only affects my dev environment and I'm the only developer.

Ah, no this is on machines with no IDE installed, and a restart does not help. The only "solution" w ehave found so far is to uninstall *all* NI software(!), then reinstall the whole list of applications.
