Analog input connection

Hi....

         I am using NI PXI 6259 Daq card....In this card i have 32 single ended Analog Inputs.....

Can u any one tell what is single ended input and what is differential input..How to wire the Analog inputs in Single ended type and Differential type Methods...

How to convert 4-20 ma into 0-5V... i have one solution..We can put one Parallel resistace acrossthe inpit's...It's Possible or not..i don't know.Please Justify this..and tell me the parallel resistance value which is most suitable....
