Any way to Lock the Decoration Free Label in place so that the Clean Up Diagram process doesn't move it soemplace unreasonable? The Clean Up Diagram process moves things to very strange places and often makes the diagram more complicated than it needs to be.
There should be a way to lock a Decoration Free Label in a location that the Clean Up Diagram will not move it somewhere else.
Is there such a feature?
How do you get your Decorations to stay where you put them even after Clean Up Diagram?

Hey dbaechtel,
There is a way to do this however you will need to put your Decoration Free Label within a structure. Check out the following KnowledgeBase article below for more information:

You recommendation does not seem to work in LabVIEW 2009..
I have a Decoration Free label that is inside a Case Structure that is inside a While Structure. And that Free Label still gets moved around by the Clean Up Diagram process whereever it wants to place it.
What's funny is that the Case Structure has 2 cases, true and false, each case has a similar Free Label in it, and in each case, the Clean Up Diagram process moves the Free Label to a different location in the 2 cases. It is not consistent.
How can I lock the Decoration Free Labels in a Block Diagram to a specific location so that the Clean Up Diagram process will not move them?

Did you make the selection to "Exclude from Diagram Cleanup" as mentioned in the document of my last post?
"To prevent LabVIEW from rerouting wires, objects, and labels within a structure, right-click the structure and select Exclude from Diagram Cleanup from the shortcut menu."
