Anybody have an example to measure Rise Time?

HI,

I'm using MIO 6524 to take measurement on high voltage power supply.  I'm not experienced at all with MIO, neither with LabView, so please help me to get started.

I need to measure the Rise Time (10% to 90%) when I change the DC power supply voltage from V1 to V2.

The reason I prefer to use LabViwis because I have a library of functions like Read Analog Input Voltage, and I believe it will be easier to implement than with CVI.

Thanks
Rafi

Acquire your signal, say at 100k Samples/second. The board is acquiring 1 sample every 10 microsecs. After you have acquired the signal, you will have an array with all the samples. Simply process the array and count how many samples it takes for the signal to go from 10% to 90%. Multiply the number of samples by 10 us, and that is the rise time. Note that speeding up the sample rate, results in a more accurate risetime estimation.

There is the function called Transition Measurements that does this.
