Anyone have experience extracting s2p data from Anritsu VNA using labview?

Hi all, i am currently working on this labview project that requires me to extract s2p data directly from the Anritsu VNA. But the device driver posting here does not have this particular VI. From the Anritsu Lightning Command Encyclopedia(LCE), i managed to find the command "OS2P" that does this, but i am not clear on using this command through VISA. BTW, from LCE, they actually have this command integrated into a VB module.  Thus, would like to know if its possible to import this VB module into labview as a VI or is there anyone who knows how to go about extracting the s2p data. Thanks

Hello,

Can you please tell me the model number of the Anritsu VNA you are using? Also, are you referring to one of the device drivers from our Instrument Driver Network?

hi simran,

thanks for your reply. I am currently using Anritsu VNA 37347A series. I am referring to the device driver from the instrument driver network. I have downloaded the device driver "anritsu_37xxx_series" project type certified while i have no luck downloading the non-project type version as the file is not available from the FTP server.

Its also quite confusing when i am loading the driver, especially when i tried to edit one of the VIs, it will prompt that the VI has been removed from the library, but i have no idea how to add it back. Hope there is a step by step guide or tutorial on how to add in driver correctly. Thanks

Eric

Hello,

Can you please post the link to the driver page? I was unable to find drivers for the particular model (37347A) you are using.

Thank you,

Hi Eric,

I suppose you have solved your S2P issue since this thread is almost 3-mos old.

I have attached the driver from NI (aw372xxa) that I used with my Anritsu VNA 37269B. Your VNA is a series 373xxA but try the drive since they are close enough and I doubt Anritsu had too much time on their hands to modify a solid SCPI set. They are 100% G (no calls to C .dll) so they are pluggable to any project directory. Just treat them as LLBs.

Also, I have attached a "modified" S2P that will output S2P from the VNA back to your VI. It is up to you to process, save, or print.

Enjoy,

Al
