App Builder adds 'data' to install files

In Application Builder, after adding the top level vi, About dialog box and images in the compiled help file to the list of source files, the entry 'data' appears in the installer settings, files tab Files in installation. The 'remove' button is greyed. The application will not build, reporting error 10 at c:\...\data

Error 10 will occur when the LabVIEW Application Builder is supplied with two paths to the same external library which is referred to by the 'data' directory indicated in your error message. This typically happens when a DLL is included as a support file in the Application Builder, but it is also loaded by one of the VIs in their application. For instance, if you build a Data Acquisition VI and you also include lvdaq.dll as a support file, you have actually provided the path to this DLL twice, once through the support files and once through the DAQ VIs. To resolve this, remove the DLL or external library from support files and run Application Builder again.

Hope this helps. 🙂

Problem resolved. The compiled help file was specified in application's top level vi under VI properties, documentation. The Application Builder automatically included it, so it was unnecessary to list again. Thanks very much for the help.
