Yes, may be there is a firewall installed which doesn't allow a TCP communication through port 3363 (used by default) or something else. You can change this value in VI Server configuration.

I am having same Error 63 problem and I wanted to ask you about firewall.
Since I don't know anything about it can you tell me where to go to find out if I have firewall ON, and if it is there where is the place I should go to remove the firewall from the list of the ports you stated above.
