Automation Open: Function not supported in current target.

I get the above said error when trying to use the Automation Open function on a Compact RIO FPGA target. Is this function prohibited on such targets? Is there a way around it?

Thanks,

Re: Automation Open: Function not supported in current target.

The automation open VI creates references to ActiveX objects, these are definately not supported on the FPGA Target. You should use such functions on your host processor. The FPGA VI is meant for communication with your I/O and high speeds.
