I have a BIG problem when I communicate with VISA. I am using a USB->Serial converter with a Prolific chip and communicate in 38400 bps. But when I send data out sometimes the computer hangs and reboots. This doesn´t happen every time only sometimes. Does anybody have any suggestion to what can be wrong?
I may be able to post the code but I first want to hear if anyone has any suggestion to this.
Just a quick note, I have, successfully used, a usb to serial converter (got it at best buy, don't remember the brand)with VISA. I do remember having problems at higher baud rates, but not with rebooting, etc.
