BNC-2120 Analog Output randomly stop working

Solved!
Go to solution

If you saw a single sample it was probably because you saw the 1st of two posting that I did. The second one should have had everything you needed. I have tried both dual and single DAQs. I have included with this posting the Single DAQ method. It still has the same problem. The DAQ card that I have is the DAQCard-6024E. If hope this is what you are looking for. It is set to Continous Mode. Sample to Write = 100 and Rate is 1000HZ. If you are able unable to open this file up I can try emailing it directly to you.

Hi gwing,

Have you tried a test by inputting a single simulated signal so that you can see if one works correctly?  Have you tried this on different channels on your DAQ card?  Have you updated any of your software since it started acting up?  Thanks!

Your Express VI for Analog Out does not have any channels selected for output.

When you're configuring the Express VI, you need to add which channel you want the voltage to be output on.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I am getting closer to a solution. I think I have a solution but I am not sure why the previous one didn't work. Here's what I found out. My DAQ card only has 2 analog outputs. Both will cause the output signal to stop when in continuous mode. It stops randomly and could take any where from a couple of minutes to say 30 minutes to fail. However if I set the DAQ's to N Samples and click on the "Use timing from the waveform data" box it seems to work. I have ran both of them in Single channel mode or by themselves with N Samples checked and Use timing from the waveform data and they both work. I ran Channel 1 for 6 hours and Channel 0 over night without quitting. I am currently running my complete VI, which uses both these channels (Outputs) with these changes in them. It has run for over an hour without stopping. If anyone knows why continuous mode doesn't work, I would be interested in hearing. I am using Version 7.1 of the software. I will have to check for updates for this version of the Software. Unless this new test proves different, I have a workable solution to my problem. Again thanks everyone for your help.
