Block Diagram Does Not Print

I'm using Labview 8.6.1f1.  Issue is printing to printers and other.

I've noticed that while the small VIs print, the large ones do not, even though they Print Preview perfectly fine.  In fact, when printing the block diagram of the VI, it will instead substitute blank pages instead of the actual block diagram graphics, so it appears that it's not as if the program is skipping printing b/c the block diagram is too big but instead is acting as if the rendering of the print is not working correctly for the diagram graphic.

I've looked for similar posts, but can't seem to find one that addresses this.  If you know of one, please direct me to it, or if you can help, that'd be great too. 🙂

Hello,

Have you tried copying the diagram into another program and printing from there? Such as paint?

Does the same thing happen if you use a different printer driver? What about one of the other printing options, such as to HTML?

Yes, I can print to HTML.  In fact, I can print to a printer now.  I don't know what happened.  I did rewrite my code from scratch for other reasons.  Maybe there was something corrupted in the file(s)?

Thanks for the help.

I too am having problems printing.  I'm using 8.51 and I am getting blank pages, or pages with the vi info but no graphics.  There isn't any graphics at all.  I have tried it on a number of different printers in the office.  No printing.  I did get a view prints earlier.  Additionally sometimes when I print, instead of printing, labview just closes/crashes.  I don't have any special settings that I know of.  Any help?

Hello crewex,

What is the OS that you are working with? There is no special settings that you would need to print your block diagram. Are you able to save the block diagram as an image then print?

If it crashes LabVIEW everytime you tried printing, I would suggest to do a repair on LabVIEW under Add/Remove Program in Control Panel.

How Can I Save a LabVIEW Block Diagram as an Image File?

That's what was happening to me under 8.6.1.  Sounds very similar.  I don't know what I did to make it start working... other than I tried printing to an HTML file and it worked.  Can you do that, per an earlier suggestion to me?
