Block diagram crashes Labview - can a vi be repaired/recovered

Running Labview 7.1 on Windows 2000.

I have a VI that loads the front panel without problem, but loading the block diagram generates "LabVIEW.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows"

Is there a tool external to LabVIEW that can repair a VI to a editable state?

I am not sure that I understand your question correctly. I think you are saying that the VI loads OK. But when you have it loaded, you cannot open the block diagram without crashing LabVIEW? Right? Then when LabVIEW crashes, it doesn't give you a nice error message, it just gives you the one you quoted?

You understood perfectly -- "yes" to all your questions.

If you delete something from the front panel can you then open the block diagram? Try deleting various items. One of them may be the trigger and deleting it may at least let you open the diagram.

Hi,

If you can save it to LV7.0 I can have a look at it. (Saving it to previous
version, might also fix problem, but if it doesn't I could try.)

Regards,

Wiebe.
