Bluetooth with Dell Latitude E6400

I wish I can say this with such a confidence. To check your guess I installed LabView 8.6.1 to this machine. This did not help the issue. Yesterday I was able to replace WIDCOMM driver with Microsoft Bluetooth Driver. This change also did not have any affect on LabView functionality. Now I have no idea what else I can do... running out of options. Any other ideas, guys?

Thank you,

leos.

Now I can say with high confidence: there is an issue with labview not able to run bluetooth functions on Dell Latitude E6400. Thanks to NI's Peter I was able to figure out and prove this. The problem is that LabView does work with Microsoft bluetooth driver only. Dell is equipping its Latitude E6400 with WIDCOM driver only (ex broadcom) and no ability to substitute/update the driver with Microsoft original.

After I understood this I bought $10 usb bluetooth radio and installed it. Since it has Microsoft driver - it works perfect with my LabView application. Problem solved (kind of).

Thanks to all for helping me out in this hard to solve problem.

I had the same problem with a Dell laptop. Here's how I solved it:
