Therein is the big difference.

 

MOST of my projects start with "Terms and Conditions" explicitly ruling out re-use and demanding exclusive rights to the software.

 

I have developed code that used sub-panels to disconnect the top-level VI from the implementation but that requires my "reader" be more than just LV I & II trained.

I actually got the "refs in a cluster" idea from the LabVIEW Style Book and I've been doing it ever since.

Tja, I can load that VI but it shows no control refnums on the front panel. Right clicking on the upper refnum constant and selecting "Create Indicator" creates a proper refnum on the front panel. Doing the same on the lower refnum constant does ... absolutely nothing!
