Wiebe,

I don't think there's an official prohibition of posting scripting-based utilities on the NI Forums...I've seen a few people do it before.  However, until scripting becomes more generally accessible, you'll probably find a more appropriate audience in the scripting forum over at LAVA.

Nothing official. Your boss did ask me to make sure code involving the private and secret methods be password protected (as you have done oh Bother!) if I do post scripting VI or other private method VIs.

Well, "LAVA" is the advanced forum, and scripting stuff isn't pw protected
over there!

But although scripting is advanced, the solutions it provide can be
convenient for novice programmers. So in that case, this would be a good
place for it.

Wiebe.

No, not really 😉 But I'm just in the habbit or reading this forum, and
changing this habbit isn't that easy! I've been using outlook now, which is
much easier to use then the web interface. I don't think that's possible
with LAVA, but I'll have to start using this forums web interface anyway, so
that might be good time to start reading (and posting to) LAVA.

Regards,

Wiebe.
