i m working on windows 7 right now but i want to switch to ubuntu now , but i mworried that my labview will successfully work in ubuntu or not ?guide me

Ubuntu is not officially supported by NI as a platform for LabVIEW. That does not mean it won't work, though, as some have successfully installed LabVIEW on Ubuntu.

And of course you would have to buy the Linux version of LabVIEW.

i have to buy labview version of labview ? the one i m using in windows 7 wil not work ? i dont know much about linix but i wana to learn it tats y i want to switch to it , will not the " wyine " facility in ubuntu help me in running labview in ubuntu ?

It's something you could try. Search for 'wine linux' and you'll see it it is not a subject that has come up to often.

What versions of Linux does LabVIEW officially support?
We are working with LabVIEW/IMAQ, and we're looking to migrate from Windows to a Linux platform do deploy IMAQ based applications in stand-alone applications, using a Linux-based run-time engine.

I don't know the answer to Linux versions, but will say that you want to make sure that any LabVIEW add-ons/toolkits are available for the target you want, be it LinuX, MacOS, or whatever. There are a lot of features in "native" LabVIEW for the Windows environment that aren't available for the other OS platforms.
