CAN SIngle Wire

Hi!! All

I have a NI PXI-8464  and I transmit message in High Speed in CAN 0 and I connect the wire in the port DB9 in pin 7 CAN_H and Pin 2 CAN_L, but I want transmit message in CAN 1 in Single Wire but the configuration of port is the same like CAN 0 Pin 7 CAN_H and Pin 2 CAN_L, How connect the wire for single wire? When in Single wire just I have 1 wire.

Hi Kaliman!

If you check the CAN Manual Installed with the NI-CAN Driver, there is a part for connections and each mode for you card. In this case you can access it from: Start>All programs> National Instruments > NI-CAN > NI-CAN Hardware and Software Manual.

If you go to page 4-21 you can see that there is a connection example for single wire, in this case you only connect the wire to CAN_H. Check the manual and if you have further questions ill be glad to help.
