CDAQ-9133 chassis opening a TDMS file with an excel viewer installed.

Good morning,

I am having difficulty opening saved TDMS files with an excel viewer.

I am using the CDAQ-9133 chassis with windows embedded 7 OS installed on it.

I installed a microsoft excel veiwer on the CDAQ-9133 local drive, but I am still unable to open the file using the excel viewer.

When trying to open the TDMS file, the excel veiwer indicates that that it cannot open this type of file.

I am able to take the same TDMS files to another PC (with Windows 7 OS & office Excel 2010) with a full version of Excel installed on that PC and open and review the TDMS files fine.

There is not enough disk space on the CDAQ-9133 to install a full version of office or is it necessary in my opinion to do this just to tweak the files to the proper output format we are looking for.

It is just bothering me that I cannot figure out this simple issue.

Has anybody ran into this or is there anything I can try to correct the excel viewing error?

I know I can open the files in labview from reviewing the forums, but it would be nice to do this for the operators/management since they are used to excel.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I am guessing that the Excel Viewer cannot use any Add-ons, which is what the TDMS Excel Viewer is.  Personally, I would just install Scout.  The normal version is free and it is a great viewer.
